As a Foreman/woman - Pipefitters, you will lead and supervise teams of pipefitters and related trades workers on construction, maintenance, and repair projects across Department of National Defence facilities. You will be responsible for planning work schedules, ensuring quality standards, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining safe working conditions on job sites. This is a hands-on supervisory role where your technical expertise in pipefitting combined with leadership skills ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include assigning work tasks to team members, inspecting work quality and safety compliance, troubleshooting technical problems, and communicating project progress to management. You may work on diverse projects ranging from routine maintenance and repairs to new construction and system upgrades in military installations, barracks, hospitals, and administrative facilities. You will ensure your team follows all health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and DND operational requirements.
This role offers variety in work environments and projects. You may work indoors in facilities or outdoors at construction sites, often in Canadian climates that present seasonal challenges.
