As an Other Human Resources (HR) Programs Policy Advisor, you will provide expert guidance on human resources policies, programs, and initiatives within the Department of National Defence (DND). You will develop, analyze, and recommend HR policy solutions that support the department's operational effectiveness and align with Treasury Board directives and federal legislation. Your work will directly impact how DND manages its civilian workforce and supports military personnel in human resources matters.
In this role, you will research HR trends, assess policy impacts, and collaborate with stakeholders across DND to implement evidence-based HR programs. You may specialize in areas such as compensation, benefits, labour relations, talent management, or organizational development. Your responsibilities will include drafting policy documents, conducting consultations with unions and employee groups, and ensuring DND HR practices comply with Treasury Board standards and the Canadian Human Rights Act.
You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment within DND's HR directorate or specialized HR policy teams.
